So, the people over at the City Paper seem to think there's a new sports curse. They call it "The Eastern Motors Curse". Evidently, many of the football players who have appeared on those tacky commercials, famous in the DC area, have ended up with pretty serious injuries this season.
LaVar Arrington - Achilles tendon.
Clinton Portis - shoulder injuries
Carlos Rogers - broken thumb
Another player hurt his ankle during pre-season and was cut
This falls right in there with the ol' Sports Illustrated cover and the Madden NFL game cover curses.
Those guys had better be careful. If they get a career threatening injury, they could lose their jobs. And If they lose their jobs, they lose their credit.
